Blog Tour: "Forbidden by Fate" by Kristin Miller

Welcome to our Blog Tour stop with Kristin Miller and her book "Forbidden by Fate" brought to you by LIT Connect Events.  We let Kristin Miller take over our blog today on Book Lovin' Mamas.  She gives some traits on why a dragon shifter could make a good lover.  =)

Author Takeover

Why does a dragon shifter make a better lover than all other shifters?
Let me start by saying I’m not exactly sure that dragon shifters make better lovers than werewolves or any other shifter, but they certainly exhibit qualities that rank them at the top of the paranormal genre list!
1-They’re protective—it’s no secret that dragons love treasure. Most stories of dragons consist of the massive creature living in a cave or lair, guarding something valuable. I think this protective instinct translates when the dragon shifts into a man, only that treasure becomes the woman he falls in love with. Who wouldn’t want to be cherished, protected, and held on high by a man who only has eyes for her?
2-They’re dangerous—when in dragon form, these creatures are warriors. They fly the skies, challenging other dragons, claim territory (as in Forbidden by Fate), and fight with brute strength. (Some stories include dragons breathing fire, which would add to the aspect of danger, but I chose to forego that.)  When they shift into man, that hint of danger translates over. They can be brash with a fiery demeanor or be on the quiet side with a mischievous bite. They have to be tough as nails and willing to fight for what’s theirs. In my opinion, there’s nothing sexier than a man willing to stand up and fight for what he wants…especially if what he wants is you.
3-They’re enormous by nature—enough said, right?
4-They’re awe-inspiring—dragons are beautiful creatures. They’re majestic, with tear-dropped scales that glimmer in the sun, catching its rays. They’re large, yet elegant, maneuvering through the sky with effortless grace. That beauty, that radiance, is what captivates me most. Think of the chest of a man, chiseled with muscle, glistening with sweat. Now think of that man, not simply standing there doing nothing—though that wouldn’t be so bad, would it?—but wielding a sword, working a ranch, sparing with an ally, or working out at the gym. Put that bronze-chested man doing something that he excels at, and you’ve got the kind of awe-inspiring grace I’m talking about.
Put those traits together and I think you’ve got one hell of a lover.

Book Blurb:

A forbidden love……
A second chance……
A night of passion neither will forget.
Sasha, a love-thirsty werewolf and rightful heir to the Were throne, is ready to take control over her pack. But when her first love, dragon shifter Damon Frost, lands on her doorstep, demanding their races negotiate ownership over Feralon’’s hot springs, he makes her question more than the fight for the enchanted neutral ground. No matter the emotions bubbling inside her, Sasha can’’t become involved with Damon. Not now. Not ever again.
Forbidden to step foot onto Were land after a romp with the Alpha’’s daughter as a teenager, Damon has bided his time, waiting for the day when he’’d be accepted back onto Were land. Using the hot spring negotiation as a way to get closer to Sasha, Damon plans to use every minute alone to remind her of the passion they shared–—a passion they could ignite again.
One night of ecstasy stands between them and the fight for the springs. One night of revealing glances, skin searing chemistry, and erotic desires they’’d long buried.
Will one taste of forbidden love be enough to satiate their desires? Or will the need to explore the depths of their love unleash a Were-Draco war?
 Author Bio
Kristin Miller has had a passion for language and literature her whole life. Born and raised in Small Town USA, she often made up stories about faraway places and edge-of-your-seat adventures.

After graduating from Humboldt State University with a degree in psychology, Kristin realized there is no scarier place than the warped human psyche. Wanting to combine her love of writing with her desire to paint twisted villains, Kristin wound up in the unlikeliest of places—the classroom. She taught high school and middle school English before giving in to the desire to create her own world, where villains can be sympathetic and heroes can be devilishly good.

She is represented by Nalini Akolekar of Spencerhill Associates Ltd. and writes dark paranormal romances and toe curling romantic suspense.
